Dietician Corner

Serves - 1 person
Ingredients -
  • Rice- ¾ cup
  • French beans- 5-6 no
  • Carrot- ½ no
  • Green peas- ¼ cup
  • Onion- ½ no
  • Tomato- ½ no
  • Capsicum- ½ no
  • Curd- 1 tsp
  • Garam masala- ¼ tsp
  • Garlic flakes- 3-4
  • Kashmiri chili- 1
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Salt- to taste
For decoration-
  • Sliced tomato- ¼ no
  • Grated low fat paneer- 1 TB
Method -
  • Boil the rice. Each grain of the cooked rice should be separate.
  • Cut the French beans, carrots into small pieces and boil along with peas.
  • Roast the chili on tava for a few min. Pound with garlic cloves.
  • Heat the oil in pan. Add chopped onion sauté for 2 min. add the pounded garlic and red chili.
  • Add the capsicum, tomato pieces and curd and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked rice, salt, all vegetables and garam masala; mix well.
  • Grease the baking dish and pack the rice in it.
  • Cover with tomato slices and grated paneer.
  • Bake in hot oven for 5 min.
