Dietician Corner

Serves - 1 person
Ingredients -
  • Soaked and drained brown rice - ¾ cup
  • Chopped methi/fenugreek leaves - ½ portion
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Sliced onion - ½ no
  • Garlic cloves - 4
  • Tomato - 1 no
  • Red chili - 2
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
Method -
  • Heat the oil in a pan; add the cumin seeds and when they begin to change color add the onion and garlic and sauté till translucent.
  • Add the methi leaves and sauté for 5 minutes.
  • Add tomato, red chilies and coriander powder and sauté till the tomatoes soften and oil separates.
  • Add rice, salt and 120 ml water, bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer till the rice is done.
  • Serve hot.
