Dietician Corner

Serves - 1 person
Ingredients -
  • Whole moong- ½ cup
  • grated paneer- 2 TB
  • Cumin seeds- ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds- ¼ tsp
  • Asafoetida (hing)
  • Chopped green chilli- 1
  • Curry leaves- 2 to 3
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander- 1 TB
Method -
  • Wash and soak the moong for a few hours. Drain, add 1 cup of water and cook in a pressure cooker till the moong is cooked. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds and mustard seeds. When they crackle, add the asafoetida, green chilli and curry leaves and sauté for a while.
  • Add the moong, , paneer, salt and 1 cup of water and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot garnished with coriander.
