Dietician Corner

Serves - 1 person
Ingredients -
  • Whole wheat bread slices- 4
  • Ghee- 2 tsp
For a Stuffing -
  • Grated beet- ½ cup
  • Grated carrot- ½ cup
  • Red chili powder- 2 tsp
  • Grated cheese- 2 TB
  • Finely chopped onion- ¼ cup
  • Finely chopped- capsicum- ¼ cup
  • Finely chopped coriander- few
  • Finely chopped green chili- 2 no
  • Salt to taste
Method -
  • Mix grated beet and carrot with salt and red chili powder; keep aside. (red color stuffing)
  • Mix chopped onion and capsicum with coriander, salt and green chili paste. Keep aside. (green color stuffing)
  • Apply ghee on one sides of each bread slice and toast them lightly on a pan till both sides are golden brown in color.
  • Place one toasted bread slice on a clean, dry surface and spread a portion of the red color stuffing evenly over it and sandwich it with another toasted bread slice.
  • Place another toasted bread slice on a clean, dry surface and spread a portion of the green color stuffing evenly over it and sandwich it with another toasted bread slice.
  • Place one red color sandwich on green color sandwich.
  • Served with grated cheese.
