Dietician Corner

Serves - 1 person
Ingredients -
  • Tomato - 1 no
  • Basil leaves- 4 to 5
  • Onion- ½ no
  • Uncooked Moong dal- 2 TB
  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 TB
  • Oil- 1 tsp
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Method -
  • Pressure cooks the moong dal with 1 cup water till the dal is cooked.
  • Boil tomatoes into the water for 10 minutes.
  • Cool & blend in a liquidizer. Keep aside.
  • Heat the oil, add finely chopped onions. Sauté for 5 minutes. Add ginger and garlic paste.
  • Add the pureed mixture.
  • Mix 1 cup of water and simmer for 2 minutes. Stirring well.
  • Add salt to taste and pepper powder and bring to a boil.
  • Serve hot soup with adding basil leaves on top.
